Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Process Engineer will contribute across operations, projects, and continuous improvement, delivering measurable impact in a high-investment, technically advanced setting.
What you'll do:
- Monitor and optimise plant performance, with a focus on cost, quality, and efficiency.
- Investigate process issues and implement sustainable performance enhancements.
- Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective actions throughout the plant.
- Identify and implement optimisation opportunities related to throughput and resource utilisation.
- Support and execute capital projects, trials, and process changes.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to enhance reliability and performance.
- Take responsibility for specific process areas and drive continuous improvement outcomes.
What you will bring:
- A degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in process engineering within heavy industry or manufacturing. Pulp mill experience will be very highly regarded.
- A strong background in process optimisation, troubleshooting, and plant performance.
- Experience working with large-scale equipment or complex chemical processes.
- The ability to lead initiatives and influence outcomes across the site.
- A proactive, self-driven approach with a focus on results and improvement.
- Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with both technical and operational teams.
