Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Process Engineer will contribute across operations, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives, delivering tangible results in a highly invested and technologically advanced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and optimise plant performance, with a focus on cost, quality, and efficiency.
- Investigate process issues and implement sustainable performance enhancements.
- Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective actions throughout the plant.
- Identify and implement optimisation opportunities related to throughput and resource utilisation.
- Support and deliver capital projects, trials, and process modifications.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to enhance reliability and performance.
- Assume responsibility for specific process areas and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Will Bring:
- A degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Over 8 years of experience in process engineering within heavy industry or manufacturing. Pulp mill experience is highly regarded.
- A strong foundation in process optimisation, troubleshooting, and plant performance.
- Experience working with large-scale equipment or complex chemical processes.
- The ability to lead initiatives and influence outcomes across the site.
- A proactive, self-driven approach focused on achieving results and improvement.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with both technical and operational teams.
