Production Engineer
Trajan Scientific & Medical Pty Ltd is seeking a Production Engineer for a full-time, onsite role in Ringwood.

About the role
Reporting to the Operations Excellence Lead, this role is responsible for the continuous identification and implementation of business improvements through technology and process enhancements in inspection, handling, and processing. This involves ensuring adherence to engineering standards for analysis, validation, quality, cost, safety, timeliness, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Production:
- Identify improvement projects and investigate their viability and priority in collaboration with Production and R&D personnel.
- Prioritise and implement approved production engineering projects according to production requirements.
- Set project timelines and ensure targets are achieved.
- Identify areas with high risk of potential manufacturing downtime and propose/implement strategies to minimise these risks.
- Design:
- Stay informed about new methods and materials that can reduce costs.
- Assist in the investigation and completion of Engineering Changes requiring engineering input.
- Identify and establish quality standards for products from suppliers and external service providers to maintain appropriate quality levels.
- Ensure procedures and work instructions are understood, implemented, and maintained.
- Assist other personnel in developing new/improved manufacturing methods and tooling to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Documentation:
- Ensure a systematic and consistent approach to data collection and engineering change implementation.
- Ensure documentation is created, maintained, distributed, and utilised to achieve industry best practice in process and product quality.
- Create and systematically capture design documentation, critical design decisions, experimental records, and test outcomes.
- Maintain records of project resources and costs for accurate budgetary tracking.
Requirements
- Must be residing in Australia.
- Must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold an unrestricted Working Visa.
