An 8-week contract position is available for a Project Engineer with experience in residential projects. This role is based in North Sydney, NSW, with an immediate start date. The primary focus will be the management and coordination of defects and rectification works for residential projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure efficient and high-standard resolution of outstanding defects. This role is suited for a Project Engineer who is available immediately and can operate within a fast-paced project setting.

Role Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage defects and rectification works across residential projects.
• Prepare and monitor defect schedules and close-out programs.
• Liaise with subcontractors to ensure timely completion of outstanding works.
• Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks.
• Work closely with consultants, clients, and internal project teams.
• Track progress and report on defect resolution.
• Ensure all works are completed in line with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Assist with project documentation and final handover activities.

Candidate Profile:

• Previous experience as a Project Engineer within the residential construction sector.
• Strong experience managing defects, quality assurance, or project close-out activities.
• Sound understanding of residential construction methodologies and finishes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
