About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer - Civil to join our team on a significant renewable energy project near Rockhampton, Queensland. Reporting to the Project Director, you will be instrumental in delivering core civil works, including bulk earthworks, site establishment, internal road networks, trenching and underground services, and site-wide drainage and environmental controls. This role operates on a DIDO / FIFO roster of 2 weeks on, 1 week off, with an offering of salary + uplift + flights + accommodation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute civil construction activities, ensuring adherence to program, budget, and quality standards.
  • Monitor site progress and provide support for the planning, scheduling, and forecasting of project works.
  • Manage subcontractors, including their claims, variations, and performance tracking.
  • Prepare and maintain essential project documentation, such as reports, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Quality Assurance (QA) records.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, while promoting strong Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and compliance outcomes on site.

About You

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects.
  • A strong understanding of earthworks, roads, drainage, or similar civil scopes.
  • The ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
  • Proactive, organised, and a strong communicator, capable of working effectively in a fast-paced site environment.
