Crossmuller is an Australian-owned private company and a Borg Company, specialising in advanced manufacturing, automation, and systems integration. We design, build, and automate the future of manufacturing, delivering impactful solutions for greenfield facilities, complex retrofits, and high-end automation. Due to ongoing expansion, we are seeking a hands-on Project Engineer to join our team and contribute significantly to the delivery of varied industrial and automation projects. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive on being involved in the practical execution of engineering challenges and witnessing their designs implemented on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from inception, including concept development, design, installation, and commissioning.
- Create mechanical designs, specifications, and system layouts.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
- Offer technical direction and resolve issues during fabrication and site activities.
- Oversee project timelines, documentation, and reporting.
- Propose enhancements to processes, designs, and project outcomes.
About You
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Possess 3–5 years of practical experience within the industry.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering projects in manufacturing, automation, or industrial settings.
- A solid grasp of mechanical systems, including materials handling, plant layout, piping, and machinery.
- Capacity to integrate design responsibilities with hands-on, site-based project execution.
- Proficiency in CAD software and strong MS Office capabilities.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A proactive approach with a focus on finding solutions.
