Revenue Accountant

AUB Group Limited is seeking a Revenue Accountant for a permanent, full-time position based in North Sydney. This is a hybrid role with both office and Work From Home options.

The AUB Group, an ASX 200 company and the largest equity-based insurance broker across Australia and New Zealand, comprises over 100 direct investments in broking, underwriting agency, and health and rehabilitation businesses, with an additional 100+ businesses held by its subsidiaries. The Group operates within the insurance intermediary sector, offering insurance broking, underwriting agency, post-claim rehabilitation, investigation, and loss adjusting services to small and medium enterprises.

This role is part of the AMS Revenue team, which handles insurance accounting functions for various Austbrokers Members. The team utilises the CBS and Aurora systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Payment receipting, including BPAY uploads, credit cards, and direct deposits.
• Daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Filing documentation.
• Processing payments to Insurers, Clients, Third-party Brokers, and referrers.
• Managing general and sub-ledger journals.
• Liaising with Insurers via email and telephone.
• Assisting with audit reviews by preparing documentation.
• Performing rolling end-of-month/year processes on the broking system.

We are looking for candidates with:

• Good numeracy and reconciliation skills.
• Proven attention to detail, accuracy, and a strong grasp of figures.
• Intermediate/Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Exemplary organisational skills, with the ability to identify priorities and meet competing deadlines.
• Good knowledge of accounting, analysis, and administrative procedures.
• The capability to construct and write emails and communicate effectively on the phone.
