O'Neill & Brown Fire Services is a prominent fire protection design and construction firm, undertaking projects across commercial, government, defence, healthcare, education, industrial, and critical infrastructure sectors. With over five decades of industry experience and an expanding portfolio of BIM and Revit-centric projects, we are augmenting our design team and seek a skilled Revit Designer to advance our digital delivery capabilities. Our organisation offers a comprehensive in-house service, spanning concept and design through to construction, commissioning, and maintenance, allowing you to witness project realisation and collaborate directly with construction personnel. The Role

We are looking for a driven Revit Designer proficient in producing high-calibre models, resolving coordination issues, and engaging collaboratively with project teams. Experience with Revit in building services, construction, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, or BIM coordination settings is welcomed. Experience in the fire industry is not a prerequisite. You will join a team that prioritises investment in its personnel, offering mentoring, training, and career pathways for individuals aspiring to enhance their technical and leadership proficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Revit & BIM Delivery
  • Generate detailed Revit models and documentation for fire protection systems.
  • Engage in BIM coordination across multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Produce design documentation for construction and installation.
  • Maintain Revit standards, templates, and modelling practices.
  • Support clash detection and model coordination activities.
  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Acquire and develop new skills through in-house training on Fire System Design.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of BIM workflows and standards.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance design efficiency and model quality.

About You

  • Essential
  • Significant Revit experience.
  • Experience producing construction or building services documentation.
  • Understanding of BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Positive, solutions-focused attitude.
  • Highly Desirable
  • Experience in building services design.
  • BIM coordination experience.
  • Navisworks experience.
  • Understanding of construction processes.
  • Experience working within contractor or consulting environments.
  • AutoCAD experience.

Fire Industry Experience: Not necessary. We can provide training in fire systems. The primary requirement is demonstrated proficiency in Revit, coordination, and quality documentation, coupled with a desire to advance a career within a specialist design field.

Security Clearance Requirement: Due to the nature of our projects, applicants must be Australian Citizens and capable of obtaining (or already possess) NV1 or NV2 Security Clearance.
