About the Role:
This full-time, ongoing position within the Northern Territory Police supports the Manager, Risk Management and Internal Audit Division. The role is instrumental in the implementation, continuous improvement, and execution of the agency’s risk management and internal audit framework and program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and relevant advice and support to the Risk Management and Internal Audit Division on various matters including governance, policy, and business practices.
- Assist in conducting risk management activities and internal audits related to business practices and procedures, adhering to the Risk Management Framework and Annual Audit Plan.
- Undertake research and prepare reports on risk activities, audits, procedures, and other written submissions for senior executives and government as required.
- Deliver timely and high-quality administrative and secretarial support.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships and collaborative partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders and organisations concerning risk management and audit.
- Identify and summarise sensitive issues, with the ability to negotiate and resolve problems.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Risk Management are required.
- Membership of a professional accounting body is preferred.
