Charterhouse is seeking a Senior Accountant with a focus on tax compliance for its Business Services team in Perth, WA. This full-time, hybrid role offers a salary range of $90,000 to $130,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience.
This position provides diverse tax compliance work across SME and family groups, with strong technical mentoring and structured career progression. You will collaborate with technically proficient Managers and Partners, gaining exposure to intricate tax issues within a varied client portfolio. Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and review of financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, SMSFs, and individuals.
- Preparation of income tax returns for all entity types.
- Management of an independent client portfolio, including regular client communication.
- Assistance with complex tax compliance matters such as CGT, Division 7A, FBT, and GST.
- Preparation of tax planning calculations and year-end compliance tasks.
- Liaison with the ATO and ASIC regarding correspondence.
- Support for workflow management to ensure adherence to compliance deadlines.
- Collaboration with Managers and Partners on more intricate technical matters.
- Review of work completed by junior accountants and provision of mentoring.
With dedicated Client Services Administrator (CSA) support and well-resourced teams, your focus will be on technical accounting and tax work, rather than non-chargeable administrative tasks. The firm operates with highly organised and established systems, workflows, and processes.

About You:
- CA or CPA qualified, or nearing completion.
- A minimum of 4 years' experience within Australian public practice.
- Possession of strong technical knowledge in business services and tax compliance.
- Experience in preparing financial statements and tax returns across multiple entity types.
- Comfortable managing client relationships and meeting compliance deadlines.
- A strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
