MJC Partners Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant to join their Dandenong team. This hybrid role offers a salary of $85,000 – $100,000 per year plus Superannuation, with a clear pathway for career progression and leadership development.

About the Role Our SMSF division is a vital component of our business, managing approximately 400 funds. Initially, you will operate as a Senior Accountant, working closely with our leadership team on technical advice, client strategy, compliance review, and relationship management. As your skills and confidence expand, you will progressively assume responsibility for client portfolios, provide mentorship to team members, and transition into a future Team Leader role. Progression in this position is not contingent on vacancies arising from staff departures; we are actively building the future leadership of our SMSF division and welcome individuals eager to be part of this initiative.

What You'll Be Doing

• Reviewing SMSF compliance work and providing technical guidance.
• Attending strategic client meetings from day one.
• Collaborating with successful business owners, professionals, and high-net-worth families.
• Assisting with complex SMSF advice and strategy implementation.
• Developing trusted advisor relationships with clients.
• Responding to technical client queries.
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
• Contributing to continuous improvement within the division.

Technical Requirements You will bring:

• Several years of experience in public practice accounting.
• Strong SMSF experience.
• Solid Australian tax knowledge.
• Experience reviewing accounting and compliance work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A desire to continue developing your technical expertise.

Exposure to advanced SMSF strategy, tax planning, or advisory work will be highly regarded, but is not essential for the right candidate.
