The Opportunity
A well-regarded large company, currently undergoing transformation, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for an initial six-month contract. This is a broad and varied role, with a focus on projects and improvements, located in the South Eastern suburbs with hybrid working arrangements.
Our client is a substantial global organisation with a significant presence in Australia and international markets. Following a period of considerable growth, the finance team is undertaking strategic projects aimed at reinforcing financial controls, enhancing reporting processes, and supporting broader business transformation initiatives. Consequently, they are looking to onboard a seasoned Senior Accountant on an initial six-month contract, with an ideal commencement within the next two weeks.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be part of a small, high-performing team dedicated to delivering projects outside the conventional month-end cycle. Given the company's significant growth, there is a strong likelihood of contract extension or a permanent position becoming available after the initial six-month term.

- Support the coordination of the external audit process and ensure high-quality audit outcomes.
- Review and strengthen balance sheet reconciliations across the Group.
- Provide support for the implementation of new accounting standards and technical accounting initiatives.
- Offer accounting support for revenue recognition, inventory, intercompany transactions, and fixed asset accounting.
- Be a key contributor to process improvement initiatives within the finance function.

Candidates are encouraged to express interest if they possess the following:
- CA or CPA qualification.
- Open to candidates with Big 4 or mid-tier Audit training, or experience within a medium to large corporate environment.

- A curious mindset with robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
