Michael Page is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a full-time, onsite role in Melbourne VIC. This position offers a competitive salary package ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per annum.

This opportunity is with a well-established, small-sized professional services firm recognised for its dedication to providing high-quality accounting and advisory services.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage tax compliance, including BAS, GST, and income tax returns.
• Provide strategic financial advice and insights to clients.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication.
• Support junior team members by providing guidance and mentoring.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions.

Requirements:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA or CA (or working towards it).
• Strong technical knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Proven experience in financial reporting and tax compliance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
