This is a short-term contract position to cover the leave of the Finance Manager within a dynamic, healthcare-focused organisation. The role is instrumental in managing daily financial operations, producing reports, and providing support to senior leadership during a crucial reporting and budgeting phase. The contract duration is from July 20th to September 29th.

Description

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the financial management of multiple government contracts, encompassing bill authorisation and invoice support.
• Reviewing and analysing fortnightly payroll in conjunction with the payroll officer.
• Preparing month-end financial reporting, including reconciliations and financial statements derived from trial balance extracts.
• Generating payroll analytics, staffing reports, and FTE insights from system data.
• Producing operational and financial Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting, including revenue and activity analysis.
• Supporting insurance renewal processes by providing necessary financial information.
• Offering financial and business support to senior management stakeholders.
• Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets across various cost centres.
• Contributing to the preparation of annual financial statements and audit management.
• Working extensively with legacy systems and performing advanced Excel-based data extraction, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Serving as a key operational finance resource during a critical leave coverage period.

Profile

To be successful in this Senior Accountant role, you will need:

• Availability to commence on July 20th and conclude on September 29th.
• A recognised qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CA or CPA qualification is highly desirable.
• Experience within healthcare, government-funded, or not-for-profit environments is advantageous.
• Advanced Excel skills, particularly in data manipulation, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Experience working with complex or legacy financial systems such as MSD GP, Access MicrOpay, and Global Health EPAS.
• An understanding of financial reporting, payroll processes, and reconciliations.
• The ability to operate autonomously while remaining deeply involved in day-to-day operations.
