This is an opportunity with an established accounting practice in Brisbane CBD. The firm has cultivated a loyal client base, a team that enjoys their work, and a strong reputation. They are seeking a Senior Accountant who is motivated to take ownership of their role.

The Role

You will manage business services and tax advisory for a diverse client portfolio across various industries. A key aspect of this role involves mentoring and guiding junior and intermediate team members.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing financial statements and income tax returns for all entity structures.
• Developing personalised tax planning strategies and providing advanced business advisory services to clients across different sectors.
• Preparing and reviewing complex tax matters, including Div 7A, CGT, and FBT calculations.
• Serving as the primary point of contact for your client portfolio, fostering strong professional relationships.
• Identifying and capitalising on advisory opportunities, while contributing to practice growth through referrals and cross-service collaboration.

About You

You will possess a minimum of 3 years of experience within an Australian public practice environment. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for this client-facing and team-oriented role.

• Articulate and confident in written and verbal communication, including email, phone, and face-to-face interactions.
• Solid technical understanding of business services and taxation.
• CA/CPA qualified or actively working towards completion.
• Self-motivated, growth-oriented, and keen to make an impact.
• Familiarity with Xero will be highly regarded.
