Integral Bookkeeping & Business Solutions, a well-established bookkeeping firm based in Townsville, is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join its team. The firm supports a diverse range of small business clients across multiple industries, emphasising accurate, compliant, and reliable bookkeeping services through strong systems, clear processes, and a collaborative team culture.

About the Role

This is a senior, hands-on bookkeeping position involving the management of a portfolio of multiple clients across various industries within a practice setting. Initially, the role will be on-site at the Garbutt practice offices, with the potential for hybrid work following a qualifying period. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end bookkeeping and compliance, working independently on client files while contributing to a supportive and well-structured team. This role is best suited for individuals with prior experience in:

• A bookkeeping firm, or
• An accounting practice, or
• A multi-client bookkeeping business

This role is not suitable for candidates who have solely worked in-house for a single business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of bookkeeping clients across multiple industries.
• Perform bank and control account reconciliations.
• Utilise accounting software for bank feed processing and automations with a high degree of accuracy and knowledge.
• Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing and compliance, including Single Touch Payroll (STP) end-to-end and finalisation.
• Process and lodge BAS and IAS.
• Liaise with clients, accountants, and the ATO.
• Maintain accurate, compliant, and well-documented client files.
• Provide support to team members as required.
• Possess understanding and exposure to TPAR, QLeave, and Payroll tax reporting and compliance.
• Have exposure to Dext and Hubdoc processing and integration.

• A competitive salary package ranging from $85,000 to $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
