Stantec is actively engaged in numerous significant and stimulating projects across Australia. We are seeking a motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join our collaborative Brisbane Buildings Team on a full-time basis. You will contribute to our multi-disciplinary team, working on a variety of building projects.

The successful candidate will apply technical expertise and demonstrate commitment to ensure projects are thoroughly designed, personally reviewed, and delivered on schedule. Responsibilities will include servicing projects of considerable scale, complexity, and with multiple clients. Stantec's project portfolio encompasses data centres, health facilities, defence infrastructure, high-rise buildings, industrial sites, and educational institutions. You will operate within a strong team environment and will be expected to manage multiple projects concurrently. Self-motivation, resourcefulness, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Planning and managing projects from initial master planning, concept, and brief development through to installation and commissioning.
• Demonstrating technical knowledge, providing oversight and supervision to ensure successful project delivery.
• Supporting and guiding Engineers and Graduates to facilitate their successful performance at all levels.
• Representing Stantec externally to Clients, taking a senior and active role in managing these relationships.
• Providing Electrical designs for a range of building projects, including reports, studies, design calculations, mark-ups, drawings, and specifications.
• Preparing and presenting to external clients.
• Liaising with authorities and contractors.

Requirements for this role:

• A Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Ideally, RPEQ accreditation.
• Approximately 7 years of experience in a Consulting environment within the Building services industry in Queensland.
• Ideally, confidence in business development or a willingness to establish and maintain strong client relationships to generate repeat opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A positive, can-do attitude, a team-player mentality, and a strong work ethic.
