Senior Electrical Engineer

Senior Electrical Engineer Cell Engineering Pty Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join its expanding team in Gladstone. This full-time, onsite position is ideal for individuals currently in engineering consultancy or industrial environments who desire increased project ownership, technical diversity, and career advancement.

About the Role This position involves working across mining, energy, utilities, and industrial projects. Responsibilities include:

• Delivering HV and LV electrical engineering projects from concept through to commissioning support.
• Undertaking power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, earthing, and power quality analysis.
• Preparing engineering deliverables such as single line diagrams, protection schematics, equipment specifications, and technical reports.
• Providing FAT, SAT, commissioning, and site engineering support.
• Leading technical project delivery and mentoring Project and Graduate Engineers.
• Collaborating closely with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver practical engineering solutions.

About You Candidates should possess:

• A Degree in Electrical Engineering and 6+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience delivering electrical power system projects within mining, utilities, power generation, or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV power systems, protection systems, and electrical design.
• Experience using ETAP, PowerFactory, SKM Power\*Tools, PowerCAD, PSCAD, or similar engineering software.
• A sound understanding of industrial control systems, PLC, and SCADA interfaces (desirable).
• RPEQ registration or a commitment to obtaining RPEQ.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering quality engineering outcomes.
