Senior Finance Business Partner | 3 Months | Potential to Extend

A significant ASX-listed organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner for an initial three-month contract. This role will provide critical support for a key acquisition and deliver commercial finance leadership to a business division, with the possibility of extension to a permanent position.
Reporting to the Commercial Finance leadership team, this is a practical finance business partnering role with two primary objectives: spearheading the finance workstream for the integration of a newly acquired business, and overseeing the month-end reporting, forecasting, and commercial performance of a business unit. You will collaborate closely with operational and finance stakeholders to deliver commercial insights, manage divisional P&L performance, and ensure a seamless finance integration while upholding robust financial governance and reporting standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the finance integration activities associated with a recently acquired business.
- Manage the month-end reporting process for a business division, encompassing P&L reporting, variance analysis, and performance reporting.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support commercial decision-making.
- Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights and challenge.
- Analyse business performance and identify financial risks and opportunities.
- Support strategic initiatives through commercial analysis and business case development.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting and finance processes.
- Collaborate across finance and operational teams to ensure successful integration and smooth business-as-usual operations.
The Candidate
- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance Manager, or Finance Business Partner within a large, complex organisation.
- Significant experience managing divisional P&Ls, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.
- Experience supporting finance integration activities during acquisitions or major business transformations is highly regarded.
- Strong commercial acumen coupled with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- A hands-on, proactive approach, with the ability to add value quickly in a contract capacity.
- Experience within Home Care, Aged Care, or Healthcare is highly desirable. Candidates from a Big 4 background with subsequent commercial finance experience will also be considered.
Qualifications
- CA or CPA qualification is essential.
- Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial finance, financial reporting, and business partnering.
