The Senior Financial Accountant (SFA) will lead the financial control activities, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting, adhering to both local statutory requirements and the standards of a NYSE-listed parent company. While the Head of Finance holds ultimate responsibility, this role serves as the operational leader for core finance processes. The SFA will drive the month-end close, balance sheet integrity, compliance (including SOX), and audit readiness, while proactively identifying issues and implementing process improvements. This is a hands-on position requiring strong technical skills, an ownership mentality, and the ability to manage priorities throughout the monthly reporting cycle.

What you'll do:

• Lead the month-end close process, including journals, accruals, and reporting.
• Own the balance sheet reconciliation process and ensure its integrity.
• Manage HFM uploads, validation, and group reporting.
• Support and lead SOX compliance and control execution.
• Manage tax compliance obligations, including GST, BAS, and payroll tax.
• Lead external and internal audits.
• Oversee payroll accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure appropriate revenue recognition treatment.
• Manage the Assistant Accountant and team priorities.

Leadership & Process Improvement:

• Provide coaching and oversight to the Assistant Accountant.
• Identify process improvements and implement solutions.
• Drive efficiencies, automation, and standardisation.

What you'll bring with you:

Experience:

• CPA/CA qualification.
• Strong accounting knowledge (IFRS/GAAP).
• 5–8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in multinational or listed environments is preferred.
• Exposure to HFM and SOX frameworks.
• Strong leadership, ownership, and problem-solving capability.
