A well-established national health and community services organisation is seeking an experienced interim finance professional to support its finance function during a period of budget finalisation and organisational change.

This organisation requires a Senior Financial Accountant to provide short-term contract support during a critical period encompassing year-end financial reporting, budget finalisation, and broader finance transformation. The role offers the opportunity to quickly integrate into an established finance team and make an immediate impact across reporting, cashflow management, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support month-end and year-end financial reporting processes.
• Assist with budget finalisation and forecast development for the upcoming financial year.
• Develop and strengthen cashflow forecasting and liquidity management processes.
• Support grant accounting, revenue recognition, and funding acquittals.
• Assist with Board and Finance Committee reporting.
• Strengthen financial controls, reconciliations, and reporting discipline.
• Identify and implement practical process improvements where appropriate.
• Provide support and mentoring to the existing finance team.

Skills Needed:

• CA or CPA qualified.
• Significant experience as a Senior Financial Accountant, Finance Manager, or similar.
• Strong cashflow forecasting and working capital management capability.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling expertise.
