Senior Financial Accountant - Temporary Contract

A minimum 6-month contract is available, with a high likelihood of extension. This role is based in the Sydney CBD, offering hybrid working arrangements and requires an immediate start.

A technically proficient Senior Financial Accountant is required to join the team, reporting to a high-quality Finance Manager. Key responsibilities include:

• Month-end reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal postings, and general ledger support.
• Preparation of financial statements.
• Assisting with budgets and forecasts.
• Building and maintaining robust financial models.
• Providing process improvement initiatives on existing processes.
• Analysis of financial discrepancies.
• Providing support as required to wider, non-finance teams.

To be considered, candidates must be CA or CPA qualified and possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Financial Accounting role. Strong knowledge of relevant reporting standards (IFRS & AASB) is essential, along with comfort in engaging with stakeholders of varying seniority. Candidates who are immediately available will be prioritised.
