Senior Financial Reporting Accountant
Sharp & Carter Finance and Accounting Melbourne VIC Contract role Onsite $65 - $75 per hour plus superannuation
Reporting to the Group Reporting Manager, this role is critical in supporting the preparation of consolidated financial results and upholding the integrity of group reporting processes.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and review of consolidated financial reports and monthly reporting packs.
- Support in the preparation of statutory financial statements.
- Assistance with month-end consolidation and close processes.
- Preparation of technical accounting papers and documentation.
- Support for audit requirements and response to auditor queries.
- Ensuring adherence to IFRS, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assistance with board and committee reporting.
- Driving improvements in reporting processes and efficiencies.
- Partnering with finance teams across the business to provide guidance on group reporting matters.
- Undertaking ad hoc projects as required.
Candidate Profile:
- CA or CPA qualified with a Big 4 or Mid-tier Chartered background.
- Extensive experience in financial reporting and consolidation.
- Background in listed or complex corporate environments.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge across IFRS.
- Proven experience supporting year-end and audit processes.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
