NES Fircroft is seeking two Senior Instrument & Controls Engineers for a Global Energy EPC. These are initial 6-month contract positions, based onsite in Perth CBD. The roles are suited to technically proficient engineers capable of independent work, with the ability to support and mentor junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently create engineering deliverables to align with project, statutory, and Group requirements within project schedules.
- Deliver solutions and documents effectively, efficiently, and fit for purpose.
- Assist assigned Project Manager / Relevant Engineering Discipline Leader in defining resource needs and ensuring engineering document deliverables meet project technical and schedule specifications.
- Liaise with the Principal Draftsperson regarding drafting resource requirements for projects.
- Provide instructions to the Drafting Team on engineering drafting requirements for projects.
- Manage key interfaces with other engineering disciplines throughout project execution.
- Participate in formal or informal reporting to the Discipline Lead on engineering task progress, budget and schedule adherence, lessons learned, and resource allocation.
- Attend meetings with Clients, Suppliers, and/or Consultants to provide technical assistance on discipline-specific engineering issues.
- Manage the procurement of permanent or temporary materials/equipment associated with discipline engineering.
- Provide site engineering supervision and technical assistance for manufacturing, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and start-up activities.
- Undertake engineering tasks in other disciplines as required.
- Undertake tasks as directed by managers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (relevant discipline), recognised by the Institute of Engineers Australia.
- Demonstrated competency in EEHA for planning and designing electrical installations, in accordance with AS/NZS 4761, obtained from an RTO within the last 5 years.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Experience in producing a broad range of technical deliverables, including calculations, drawings, simulations, and reports.
Experience:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience within the energy or related engineering industry.
- Proven experience delivering complex engineering projects and technical documentation.
