Stantec Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior ICT & Security Engineer to join their team. This role involves contributing to the design and delivery of a variety of Information Communications Technology, Security, and Audio-Visual projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work within a local and national ICT & security consulting team on diverse projects.
• Coordinate communications provider requirements (e.g., Telstra, NBN) for project teams.
• Lead the design and documentation for ICT and Security systems, including:
• Structured cabling systems
• High Density Data Centre Optical fibre interconnects
• Core network infrastructure
• Wireless Networks
• IPTV
• Audio-visual systems
• Microsoft Teams Rooms
• CCTV
• Electronic access control
• Intruder alarm systems
• Intercom systems
• Cyber Security systems
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate with internal and external clients.
• Participate in site investigations, utilising strong report writing and verbal communication skills.
• Work under the general direction of a senior engineer.
• Assist with preparing proposals and cost estimates.
• Work is completed under general supervision.
• Hold and maintain relevant professional qualifications.

Essential Functions:

• Lead ICT and Security engineering design, which may encompass engineering drawings, calculations, reports, and design criteria to support engineering projects.
• Perform calculations to analyse and design ICT and Security system components using company standard and proprietary manufacturer software.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of ICT and Security systems and materials, and the development of specifications.
• Lead the development of ICT and Security systems through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
• Lead the preparation of engineering project documents, client presentations, client contact, and communication pertaining to specific project deliverables.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure compatibility with design intent.
• Prepare engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans, and schedules.
• Lead the review of shop drawings and submittals, respond to requests for information, prepare site observation reports, and perform other contract administration tasks.
• Recognise developing technical problems and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
• Attend project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
• Lead value engineering and cost estimating to support engineering projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineering staff.

Education:

• Relevant Tertiary Qualification in ICT, Security, Communications, or AV related field of study.
• Eligible for an Australian Government Security Clearance.
