Searson Buck Group Pty Ltd is partnering with a high-performing professional services firm in Hobart to recruit a Senior Manager - Business Advisory. This is a full-time, onsite position located in Hobart, TAS, with a salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 + benefits.

This key leadership position is within a well-established and growing business that provides accounting, tax, and advisory solutions to SME clients. With ongoing expansion and a strong emphasis on client outcomes, the firm seeks a Senior Manager to lead a team, drive advisory work, and cultivate long-term client relationships.

About the Role This is a leadership-focused role encompassing team management, client advisory, and operational delivery. You will be responsible for a client portfolio and will mentor and develop a team to achieve high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial & Technical
• Review and oversee financial statements, tax returns, and compliance work.
• Deliver high-level business and tax advisory services.
• Provide technical guidance on complex accounting and tax matters.
• Ensure quality control across all client deliverables.
• Operational
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Manage workflow, resourcing, and deadlines for the team.
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
• Monitor team performance, KPIs, and professional development.
• Client & Commercial
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted adviser.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and growth strategies for clients.
• Actively contribute to business development and client retention.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver integrated service offerings.

About You You are a Senior Manager or an experienced Manager in public practice looking to step into a more impactful leadership role.

• CA/CPA qualified.
• 5+ years of experience in business services or tax.
• Proven experience leading and developing teams.
• Strong client engagement and advisory capability.
• Commercial mindset with a focus on client outcomes.
• Ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced, professional environment.
