JRG Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer with expertise in Ground Engineering and Slope Stabilisation. Our client is a nationally recognised engineering contractor specialising in ground anchoring, slope stabilisation, shotcrete, foundation piling, specialist civil construction, and ground improvement projects. This role is a Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) position operating on a 14 days on / 7 days off roster, with accommodation, meals, and living-away-from-home expenses fully provided.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager, you will assume a key leadership role in the successful delivery of major ground engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include leading and mentoring Project Engineers, Site Engineers, and Supervisors, alongside close coordination with design, construction, and client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of Tier 1 ground engineering projects.
- Manage and mentor engineering and site delivery teams across multiple work fronts.
- Oversee project budgets, forecasts, cost-to-complete reporting, variations, EOTs, and payment claims.
- Coordinate project programs to ensure delivery meets time, cost, quality, and safety objectives.
- Provide technical leadership and resolve design and constructability challenges.
- Review designs and coordinate with client teams to ensure compliance and project readiness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Champion a positive safety culture and uphold the highest health and safety standards.
- Deliver clear and effective communication across all levels of the project team.

About You
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- A degree qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5+ years of Australian experience delivering projects involving Ground Anchoring (Soil Nailing & Rock Bolting), Slope Stabilisation, Ground Improvement, Shotcrete, and Foundation Piling works.
- Strong leadership and project delivery capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work within demanding project environments and deliver to strict deadlines.
- Willingness to work on a 14 days on / 7 days off regional project roster.
- Australian Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship with unrestricted working rights.
