Gough Recruitment NSW is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join a fast-growing property developer. This organisation boasts a robust retail and commercial asset portfolio.

This is a demanding, practical position ideal for a Property Accountant who excels in a high-volume setting and can commence work immediately. The role is a key individual contributor, providing support to a dynamic portfolio. Candidates who are detail-oriented, proficient with systems, and capable of managing numerous tasks in a rapid environment will be well-suited.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake ad-hoc property finance projects for the broader finance department and Head of Finance.
• Act as the primary support for MRI/MYOB property systems.
• Review monthly Income & Expenditure reports from Centre Managers.
• Collaborate with Finance and Retail teams on budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Investigate and provide explanations for budget versus actual variances.
• Perform month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
• Generate and review MYOB files, and assist with the preparation of accrual journals.
• Support daily receipting and general accounting duties.

Candidate Profile:

• Demonstrated experience in property accounting, specifically within retail or commercial sectors.
• Proficiency in reconciliations and analytical skills.
• Experience with MRI systems; Yardi, JDE, or similar systems are also considered.
• Confidence in reviewing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to manage high volumes and competing deadlines.
