Senior Services Engineer

Design & Build is seeking a Senior Services Engineer for a full-time, onsite role in Sydney NSW, with a salary of up to $230K.

This position is with a prominent Tier 2 commercial builder engaged in a significant, complex commercial new build project. The company boasts a secure pipeline of work for the next three years, encompassing technical, health, education, and commercial sectors. They have established a reputation for successfully completing technically demanding projects within a collaborative and well-resourced team setting.

In this role, you will contribute to a large-scale, services-intensive project, providing support for the delivery of all building services packages from the procurement phase through to commissioning and handover.

The Role involves:

• Managing and coordinating all services trades, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire services.
• Reviewing design documentation and promoting buildability and value engineering outcomes.
• Leading services procurement, scope alignment, and subcontractor engagement.
• Overseeing installation to ensure adherence to programme, quality, and safety requirements.
• Collaborating closely with the Project Manager and Site Team to integrate services with structural and finishing elements.
• Supporting commissioning processes, authority approvals, and final handover.

Required experience includes:

• A degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Building Services Engineer with a head contractor or Tier 1 subcontractor.
• Experience delivering complex commercial new build projects valued at $100M+.
• A strong understanding of services coordination and commissioning.
• Confidence in managing subcontractors and consultant relationships.
• Sound knowledge of the NSW construction market.
