Senior Structural Designer - Optimum Consulting Group

Optimum Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Designer for a full-time, onsite role in Brisbane, QLD. This is an initial 3-month contract position with potential for extension.

This role offers the chance to contribute to a variety of heavy industry projects, with opportunities for significant project ownership.

Responsibilities:

• Generate precise, detailed structural drawings for both concrete and steel structures.
• Produce fabrication drawings and shop details, requiring hands-on experience with Advance Steel.
• Utilise AutoCAD for the creation of general arrangement and detail drawings.
• Liaise with structural engineers to ensure drawings align with design intent and Australian Standards.
• Review and check the work of junior drafters and designers.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Structural Designer/Detailer, preferably at a senior level.
• Strong working knowledge of Advance Steel for the production of fabrication drawings and shop details.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience designing and detailing both concrete and steel structures.
• Availability for a 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
