ABN Australia is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our team in Sydney NSW. This is a full-time, remote position with a salary of $112,000 – $134,000 per year.

About the role: The Senior Tax Accountant will be instrumental in the preparation and review of financial accounting and compliance services for our clients. This role offers a unique opportunity to quickly become a key contributor to our fast-growing team.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparation and review of income tax and FBT returns
• Preparation and review of BAS and IAS
• Support and mentoring of the bookkeeping function and team, including:
• Xero setup and training (including COA)
• Bank reconciliations
• Accounts Payable processing
• Accounts receivable processing
• Manual journal entries
• Reconciliations and review
• Payroll calculations, review, and related administration

About you: You will bring a positive, can-do attitude, an entrepreneurial mindset, professionalism, and a customer service focus. You will also possess:

• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration/Management (or a related field)
• Current professional Accounting registration (CPA/CA, etc.)
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working in Australian public-practice tax and accounting
• Outstanding time management skills
• Excellent professional communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• A strong commitment to customer service, confidentiality, and continuous improvement
