Ledger Talent Recruitment is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant/Client Manager for a prominent public practice firm located in Brisbane CBD. This role is for an individual who excels in client relationships, accountability, and commercial advisory.

About the Opportunity This is a significant client leadership position for a seasoned public practice professional ready to advance beyond traditional accounting tasks and assume responsibility for high-value client relationships. If you currently manage clients but feel your influence, recognition, or decision-making authority is limited, this role is structured to address that. You will function as a trusted advisor, collaborating with a Director on strategy, planning, and long-term client success.

Location Brisbane CBD, QLD. This is an in-person position. Candidates must be located in Brisbane or prepared to relocate before starting. This is not a remote or offshore opportunity.

Work Rights Applicants must possess full Australian working rights, meaning they are either an Australian Citizen or a Permanent Resident.

Experience Required

• 6–10 years of experience within an Australian public practice firm.
• Demonstrated strong client management and advisory experience.
• Proven capacity to manage client portfolios autonomously.
• Experience across tax, business advisory, and structuring is highly regarded.

What You Will Be Doing

• Assume complete ownership of a portfolio of high-value, long-term clients.
• Serve as the primary relationship lead for tax, business, and wealth advisory matters.
• Provide strategic counsel on tax optimisation, asset protection, and structuring.
• Collaborate closely with the Director on client strategy and business growth initiatives.
• Deliver practical, commercially focused advice that achieves tangible client outcomes.
• Lead client discussions to foster deep, long-term relationships.
• This is a client leadership position with genuine influence, not a middle-management compliance role.
