Ledger Talent Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant for a full-time, remote position based in Brisbane, QLD. The salary on offer is $100,000 – $110,000 per year.

This opportunity is with a well-established and highly respected public practice firm in Brisbane CBD. The role is designed for a technically strong Accountant looking to move beyond compliance-heavy work into a genuine advisory-focused position.

About the Role

This is a client-facing, advisory-first position. You will collaborate closely with Directors and Managers on meaningful client strategy rather than solely focusing on end-of-year compliance. The firm invests in its people, prioritises quality over volume, and provides the environment for you to develop into a trusted advisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Work directly with a high-quality, blue-chip client base.
• Deliver advisory work encompassing tax planning, structuring, and business strategy.
• Provide advice on tax optimization, asset protection, and commercial decision-making.
• Collaborate with Directors and Managers on client strategy and outcomes.
• Build long-term, trusted relationships with business owners and key stakeholders.
• Transition from compliance tasks to genuine advisory influence.

Requirements

• 3–5 years’ experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm.
• Strong technical grounding in compliance and taxation work.
• Experience working with SMEs or business clients is highly regarded.
• Full Australian working rights (Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident).

You possess a proactive, accountable, and solutions-focused mindset. You have the ability to build trust quickly with clients and demonstrate strong communication skills and commercial awareness. A genuine interest in advisory work and business strategy is essential.
