About Us We are a well-established boutique accounting firm located in Southport, serving small and medium business owners with a range of services including accounting, bookkeeping, and finance. We seek an astute and hardworking Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. The role involves assisting and advising clients with their monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounts, BAS returns, and tax advice. This is a part-time position with flexible hours, offering potential to transition to full-time employment in the near future.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in tax-related matters.
• Degree Qualified and CA/CPA Qualified, or currently studying towards these qualifications.
• Experience using Handisoft/Access is preferred but not essential.
• Experience using MYOB and Xero is preferred but not essential.
• Experience working in a paperless environment is preferred but not essential.
• SMSF Accounting experience on BGL 360 is welcomed.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all accounting and taxation areas.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Reviewing Tax Returns and Financial Statements, and BAS for individuals, Partnerships, Trusts, and Companies.
• Preparing Tax Returns & Financial Statements for individuals, Partnerships, Trusts, and Companies.
• Preparing Payroll Tax, BAS, FBT, and SGC.
• Reviewing the work of team members.
