The Opportunity
As a valued member of our expanding Sydney tax team, you will leverage your deep expertise in the financial services sector to serve a varied client base across public and private sectors. This includes large institutional groups as well as complex private and family-owned businesses. This leadership role offers exposure to intricate tax structuring and strategic advisory work. You will also be part of a firm that is actively investing in technology and AI to enhance work processes and improve client and employee experiences.
As a Senior Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading tax structuring and advisory engagements for financial services clients.
- Providing technical guidance on compliance matters, including trust attribution and tax distribution calculations.
- Cultivating strong relationships with clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
- Mentoring junior staff and contributing to technical training and development initiatives.
- Staying abreast of legislative changes and industry developments.
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- 6-8+ years of experience in a similar capacity, ideally within a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm.
- Proven corporate tax expertise and robust technical knowledge.
- Clear and confident communication skills.
- Strong organisational and analytical abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
- A CA qualification and a Master's in Tax.
