Gibbs Air and Refrigeration Pty Ltd, a locally owned and operated HVAC-R business serving commercial and light industrial clients throughout the Mackay region, is experiencing continued growth. We are seeking a Sheet Metal Duct Installer to become part of our experienced team.

About the Role

This is a practical position for a driven technician who values quality workmanship and customer service. Your responsibilities will include sheet metal fabrication and installation across various sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting working drawings specific to fabrication or installation.
• Installing ductwork, fittings, and associated equipment according to fabrication design requirements or installation drawings, adhering to Company standards.
• Completing material and equipment take-offs and ordering as needed.
• Supervising Apprentices and Trades Assistants within the designated site team.
• Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards.
• Maintaining professional interactions with customers and clients.
• Completing accurate job documentation and reporting.

About You

• Trade qualified in Engineering and Sheet Metal Fabrication.
• Possess a current Construction White Card.
• Hold a current driver’s licence.
• Demonstrate strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Must be reliable, well-presented, and customer-focused.
