McMahon Services is seeking a Site Engineer - Civil Utilities to join their team in Adelaide SA. This is a full-time, onsite position offering a competitive salary + career progression.

This role is integral to the delivery of a significant infrastructure project in South Australia, focusing on major water, sewer, and civil utilities packages. You will support the execution of complex civil construction works while developing your technical skills alongside experienced project teams. About the Role Reporting to the Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, and Project Manager, you will provide engineering support on-site for major civil utilities packages, including water, sewer, and infrastructure works. Working collaboratively with project teams, construction crews, subcontractors, and key stakeholders, you will help coordinate daily site activities, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.

This site-based role in Adelaide is within a fast-paced major infrastructure environment, offering substantial opportunities for professional growth and long-term career development.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the delivery of major civil utilities works across water, sewer, and infrastructure packages.
  • Assist with coordinating day-to-day site activities with subcontractors, suppliers, and self-perform crews to achieve safe and efficient project outcomes.
  • Assist with project planning, procurement, scheduling, cost tracking, and progress reporting.
  • Prepare RFIs and coordinate technical queries with designers, consultants, and client representatives.
  • Monitor construction quality, environmental compliance, and safety performance to ensure works meet project requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including site records, reports, variations, and progress claims.
  • Contribute to construction planning, technical problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting the delivery of civil utilities, water, or infrastructure projects.
  • An understanding of project planning, procurement, scheduling, and construction coordination.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance, safety, and environmental requirements within construction.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with site teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Experience using project management systems such as InEight, Aconex, Procore, or similar.
  • A current White Card, Driver’s Licence, and the ability to obtain required project clearances.
