Site Engineer

Ventia is seeking a Site Engineer to join a high-performing team contributing to a significant infrastructure upgrade in Australia. This role is integral to the NBN NSW N2P project, a national fibre enhancement initiative.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in NSW, with a blend of remote work and time spent at Ventia's North Sydney and Parramatta offices. An attractive salary package is offered.

About the role:

The Site Engineer will provide support to the Project Engineer and the wider team by managing work packages and ensuring project delivery aligns with scope, quality, and budget expectations.

Key responsibilities:

• Planning and scheduling construction activities.
• Managing Bill of Quantities/Bill of Materials and site documentation.
• Coordinating traffic management and council approvals.
• Overseeing defect closure and site restoration.
• Supporting procurement and financial reconciliation.
• Participating in safety inspections and toolbox talks.
• Driving continuous improvement via lessons learned workshops.

Are you our next Site Engineer?

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related field are required.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering end-to-end projects from design to construction completion is necessary.
• Relevant experience in telecommunications or civil construction is required. Telco experience, including with Optus, Telstra, or NBN N2P, is highly regarded.
• Foundational knowledge of cost management and financial principles relevant to project delivery is required.
• Exposure to field operations and stakeholder management is needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel (Lookup functions, Pivot Tables, data queries, and analytical techniques for interpreting complex datasets), and MS Project is essential.
