Snowy Hydro is an integrated energy business providing reliable, on-demand energy across Australia. Snowy 2.0, Australia's largest committed renewable energy project under construction, will deliver on-demand energy and large-scale storage for future generations.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Project Engineer (Electrical) to join the Snowy 2.0 Owners team. This role involves providing onsite engineering oversight and assurance for electrical construction and installation activities, ensuring all work adheres to the highest standards and the Employer's Requirements (ER).
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Leadership: Champion a safety culture through the implementation of plans and behaviours aligned with Snowy Values.
- Construction Oversight: Ensure contractor compliance with design requirements, specifications, and current IFC drawings.
- Proactive Monitoring: Continuously review contractor activities to identify performance deficiencies, discrepancies, or faults early.
- Technical Coordination: Review Safety in Design studies, risk assessments, and construction documentation.
- Reporting: Monitor and prepare daily reports on site progress, covering plant, equipment, KPIs, and resource management.
- Documentation Management: Maintain accurate and accessible records, including ITP progress and NCR registers.
About the Location:
This role requires 100% onsite presence, operating on a 14 days on, 7 days off FIFO roster. Standard FIFO camp-style accommodation is provided.
About You:
- Qualifications: A recognised tertiary degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Experience: Experience on large-scale, complex civil or infrastructure projects and knowledge of EM installation are necessary. Demonstrated experience in delivering complex infrastructure projects with multiple contract interfaces is essential. Knowledge of construction and E&M installation is highly regarded.
- Skills: The ability to work autonomously and establish priorities without supervision is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to engage stakeholders at all levels, are essential. A flexible, resilient attitude with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business demands is also required.
