Site Support Engineer

This full-time, onsite role based in Lytton will ensure continuous plant production, with a focus on safety, reliability, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the efficient site maintenance system.
- Ensuring planned maintenance is scheduled and completed on time and to required standards.
- Troubleshooting and resolving all site maintenance issues to optimise productivity and safety.
- Leading the Permit to Work (PTW) process through the completion of quality PTWs and contractor management.
- Supporting all site-specific Major Hazard Facility (MHF) requirements and ensuring the integrity of controls and the functional testing regime.
- Ensuring safety and compliance in all personal behaviours, demonstrating safety leadership on site.
- Investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and managing required actions.
- Assisting the Plant Manager with all aspects of site operations, including documenting, initiating, planning, and closing all Management of Change (MOC) activities, and providing monthly reports on MOC status.
- Proactively planning preventative maintenance on critical equipment and controls to prevent overdue work orders.
- Managing preventative maintenance policies in consultation with relevant parties, including the Plant Manager, Depot Operations Manager, and Technical and Maintenance teams.
- Managing work orders, including raising, circulating, following up, and closing them.
- Providing support in conducting risk assessments on standard site processes.
- Assisting the Plant Manager in reviewing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to routine site work.
Skills and Experience Required:
- An Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or a related engineering field.
- More than two (2) years of experience in an engineering role. Experience in the industrial gases and/or LPG industry is desirable.
- Understanding of Work Health and Safety Acts, Legislation, and Regulations.
- Project management skills and experience.
- Excellent communication skills and strong analytical skills.
- A general understanding of Permit to Work and Management of Change systems will be beneficial.
- The ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Proven safety leadership is required.
- Change management skills.
- A broad understanding of LPG processes would be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel between sites is required.
