Medibank Private Limited is seeking a full-time Squad Lead – Financial Accounting to join our team in Melbourne VIC. This is an onsite role.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Squad Lead – Financial Accounting to lead financial accounting across Amplar Health. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant reporting for Amplar. Leveraging your leadership and transformation experience, you will support acquisitions, define ways of working, and drive automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a robust financial control environment and balance sheet integrity.
• Partner with the business on new initiatives, acquisitions, and complex accounting matters.
• Drive the integration of acquisitions and alignment to Medibank’s finance systems and frameworks.
• Lead month-end and year-end reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS and group standards.
• Deliver process improvement, standardisation, and automation.
• Design scalable finance operating models to support Amplar’s growth.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

About You

You are a senior finance leader who operates comfortably at both strategic and operational levels, with a strong track record in financial control and transformation. You bring:

• A CA qualification with significant experience in financial control leadership (10+ years).
• Proven experience leading teams across financial accounting.
• Strong technical accounting expertise and commercial judgement.
• Demonstrated success in driving process optimisation, automation, and transformation.
• Experience supporting or leading integration or change initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across finance and business teams.
