Structural Engineer - Perth
GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) is seeking an experienced and motivated Structural Engineer to join their Perth projects team. This full-time, onsite role is based in Ascot. The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to work on significant projects, providing technical support to project teams. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplined project team to deliver cost-effective structural engineering designs from concept through to detailed design, tender, and construction.
- Perform static and dynamic analysis and design of steel, platework, and concrete structures.
- Assist designers in the development of project models and drawings.
- Complete detailed engineering documentation and calculations.
- Conduct technical reviews of vendor documentation.
- Ensure design compliance with statutory regulations and company standards.
- Ensure designs are fit for purpose, considering cost, constructability, operability, and maintainability.
- Provide remote support for site construction activities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, recognised by the Institute of Engineers Australia.
- 3-8 years of technical and practical experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of mineral processing plants or heavy industrial structures, including a detailed understanding of multi-discipline design delivery.
- Experience in mineral processing and materials handling, including assets such as conveyors, crushers, screens, mills, tanks, and hydrometallurgical plant equipment (desirable but not essential).
- Proficiency with Space Gass and Strand7, or a willingness to adapt from similar software.
- Knowledge of current engineering design, standards, and practice.
- A high level of communication, planning, and organisation skills.
- Experience in, or a willingness to adapt to, a schedule-driven EPC delivery environment.
