The Opportunity
pitt&sherry seeks a Structural Engineer to join our Melbourne team and contribute to our national structural engineering group, which comprises over 50 engineers and technicians. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to establish strong technical foundations while engaging with significant infrastructure and government projects. Our Melbourne team focuses on temporary works for major Victorian infrastructure projects. Experience in this specific area is advantageous but not essential.
What You'll Do
- Support the design and delivery of structural engineering solutions for infrastructure, industrial, and government projects.
- Apply engineering fundamentals under the guidance of experienced senior engineers.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians across our national structural team, gaining exposure to diverse project types and expertise.
- Prepare calculations, models, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Develop technical, communication, and project delivery skills through mentorship and hands-on project involvement.
- Work within a flexible, supportive environment that fosters learning, growth, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
- A minimum of 1.5 years of experience in structural engineering design.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- A strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.
- Exposure to structural analysis software; SpaceGass is preferred, but other software is welcome.
- Enthusiasm to learn, adapt, and undertake new challenges.
- A team-focused, proactive, and professional approach.
