Support Worker

Absolute Disability Care (ADC) Pty Ltd Location: East Victoria Park WA Work type: Casual Salary: $35 – $45 per hour Start Date: Immediate

About Absolute Disability Care (ADC) Absolute Disability Care (ADC) Pty Ltd is a registered NDIS provider focused on delivering high-quality, safe, and person-centred disability support services. We provide support to children, adults, and older individuals managing physical disabilities, psychosocial disabilities, and mental health conditions across Queensland and New South Wales.

Our aim is to empower participants to live comfortably, confidently, and independently within their communities. We also support families and carers through responsive, flexible, and tailored service delivery. ADC offers Supported Independent Living (SIL), community access, and in-home support services, operating 24/7 with experienced and dedicated support workers. We value our frontline staff and collaborate with participants and their wider support teams to achieve positive outcomes.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience within the disability industry
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification
  • Blue Card / NSW Working With Children Check
  • Yellow Card / NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current Police Check
  • Open Driver’s Licence
  • A reliable vehicle with current registration and insurance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with medication assistance (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care and daily living tasks
  • Support participants in attending appointments and accessing community activities
  • Encourage skill development, independence, and routine building
  • Implement individualised support and behaviour strategies
  • Respond appropriately to challenging or defensive behaviours
  • Maintain accurate shift notes, progress notes, and incident reports
  • Adhere to NDIS Practice Standards and ADC policies
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and Behaviour Support Practitioners

Essential Requirements

  • Physically fit for active shifts
  • Proven experience supporting individuals with complex or psychosocial needs
  • Strong documentation and data-entry skills
  • A positive, calm, and team-focused attitude
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Willingness to complete ADC induction and ongoing training
  • MAYBO or equivalent behaviour-support training (preferred)
