  • Collaboration with families, medical professionals, and fellow support workers is key to ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Shifts offer flexibility around your day, fostering genuine relationships with clients beyond task completion.

Rostered Hours:

You must be available for all shifts listed above.

**What you’ll do (*tailored to each client as required*):**

  • Person-centered planning: Engage with the client (and family/advocates) to understand their needs, goals, and routines.
  • Complex physical care: Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and the use of equipment such as wheelchairs and mobility aids, as detailed in the care plan.
  • Medical supports: Monitor for changes, adhere to medication and clinical plans, and communicate with the care team regarding any shifts in condition.
  • Social time and participation: Facilitate meaningful engagement, enjoyment, and community access aligned with client interests.
  • Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making processes, respect consent, and promote independence where feasible.
  • Cultural humility: Show respect for diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of life.

Who we’re looking for:

  • A person-centered, warm, patient, and genuinely caring individual.
  • An interest or experience in complex care, disability, and health considerations.
  • A great communicator who listens effectively, interprets cues, and adapts to various communication styles.
  • Reliable and professional, with proficient notetaking and teamwork skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable, comfortable with evolving needs and shift patterns.
  • A values fit, demonstrating Energy, Nurture and Care, Acting with Integrity, and Listening and Connecting.
  • Optional but nice to have: Manual handling, epilepsy management, or disability-support training.

What you’ll get (the good stuff):

  • Paid induction and training upon commencement.
  • Paid travel between client shifts (subject to a minimum distance).
  • Meaningful, person-centered work with a real impact.
  • Employee referral bonus valued at $300.
  • Tailored onboarding for each client and ongoing support from a clinical team.
  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate your life while effectively serving clients.
  • A supportive, collaborative team that values your input and professional development.
  • Competitive remuneration and clear pathways for skill and role advancement.
