Avenue operates coworking spaces in Frenchs Forest, Botany, Parramatta, and Newcastle. These spaces enable participants to join work teams, contribute to thriving microbusinesses, share in profits, and make choices about community-based social events and activities. Avenue, empowered by Fighting Chance, currently supports over 420 individuals with disability. The Role: The Support Worker position is integral to our operations. The successful achievement of our goals is dependent on the delivery of superior support in our day-to-day programs and services.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing all aspects of personal care, mealtime assistance, behaviour support, and assistance with daily work tasks.
  • Developing relationships with participants.
  • Ensuring participants receive the best support in the manner they desire.
  • Providing feedback to families regarding support delivered and progress towards goals.
  • Utilising creativity to devise innovative approaches to support delivery.
  • Completing relevant reporting in a timely manner.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A professional, positive, and passionate approach to delivering the highest level of support.
  • Energy, ambition, and a desire to learn and grow in the role.
  • Possession of, or willingness to obtain, an NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Children Check.
  • Possession of, or willingness to obtain, Provide First Aid (HLTAID003).
