Support Worker – Mental Health and Disabilities

Lutheran Services seeks casual Support Workers for its Graceville Centre in Nambour, QLD.

About the Role: The Graceville Centre in Nambour, Sunshine Coast, supports individuals with a mental illness and/or disability. Services are delivered using a strength-based and recovery-focused framework. The centre operates seven programs offering support on-site and in clients' homes. This is a growing service with internal career advancement opportunities. As a Support Worker, you will work across multiple programs, assisting individuals to enhance their independence, maintain their wellness, and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver flexible support tailored to client needs and preferences.
• Assist with personal care and daily living tasks, ensuring dignity and independence.
• Encourage community participation and social engagement.
• Support skill development and independence-building activities.
• Collaborate with case managers and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client care and interactions.

Availability: Weekend and sleepover shifts are desired but not essential.

Requirements:

• Transferable skills and/or study in a related field (students are encouraged to apply).
• A strong passion for empowering individuals with a mental illness and/or disabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with clients and their families.
• A valid Queensland Driver’s Licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle for client transport (if required).
• A valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Blue Card.

Location: Graceville Centre, Nambour, QLD.

Work Type: Casual.

On-site: Onsite.

Salary: $45.35 - $49.47 per hour (includes 25% casual loading) + Super. *Please note that Enterprise Agreement wage increases effective from July 2026 will apply to this position.*
