Independence Australia Group, through Zest Care, is seeking a Support Worker in Parramatta. This casual, onsite role offers an opportunity to positively impact individuals' lives by assisting clients living independently. The position is suited for an organised, compassionate individual committed to fostering independence and social connection.

About the Role:

• Assist clients within the Parramatta region with daily living, including domestic tasks, personal care prompting, and community access.
• Support with meal planning, budgeting, bill payments, and medication management.
• Accompany and assist clients with medical and allied health appointments (e.g., physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy).
• Encourage skill development and independence, collaborating with clients rather than solely performing tasks for them.

Preliminary Roster:

• Monday: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
• Tuesday & Wednesday (weekly): 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Thursday (weekly): 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Friday (weekly): 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday (weekly): 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM & 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Sunday (weekly): 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM & 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

About You:

• Possess clear communication skills to build trust and supportive relationships.
• Demonstrate compassion and patience with a genuine desire to help others live well.
• Be organised and proactive, comfortable guiding decision-making and daily routines.
• Enjoy encouraging independence and skill-building, rather than taking over tasks.
• Be reliable, flexible, and team-minded, with a strong commitment to safety and respect.
