UBLOSSOM PTY LTD is seeking Casual Support Workers for roles involving Community Access, Assistance with Daily Life, and Personal Care.

uBlossom is an NDIS provider comprised of individuals passionate about undertaking meaningful work within the community. With over 15 years of experience in the homelessness and community services sector, uBlossom was established to address gaps in support for people with disabilities transitioning to independent or supported living, aiming to provide consistency, care, and community.

As we expand, we are looking for Support Workers who bring a strong work ethic, personality, and purpose to their roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting participants with daily living routines, personal care, and household tasks in their homes.
• Facilitating community participation, including attending appointments, engaging in hobbies, outings, and developing life skills.
• Promoting independence, confidence, and choice for participants.
• Adhering to support plans and strategies developed by allied health professionals.
• Maintaining clear and concise progress notes following each shift.
• Providing a calm, reliable, and supportive presence to ensure participant safety.
• Upholding professional boundaries and ethical work practices.

Requirements:

• A valid Australian Driver Licence.
• A clean, safe, reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Working With Children Check.
• Police Check.
• NDIS Workers Module.
• Minimum 6–12 months of experience in disability support is preferred but not essential if currently undertaking studies.
• Qualifications or current studies in Disability, Community Services, or a related field.
• Availability during weekdays. Most participants require support between 9 am and 6 pm due to funding constraints.
• A caring, grounded, and trauma-informed approach.
• The capacity to remain calm, patient, and supportive.
• Experience supporting individuals with ADHD, Autism, and/or Intellectual Disabilities, and challenging behaviours is highly regarded.
• Willingness to travel across Sydney when required is highly desirable.

Remuneration:

• Starting from $45.28 per hour, with potential increases based on experience and qualifications, plus superannuation.
