The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to integrate into our team. This role will involve a key contribution to mentoring junior staff and ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely financial information to our clients. You will operate independently, take ownership of your engagements, and benefit from the support of a collaborative and experienced team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Remain current with changes in tax law, regulations, and accounting standards, and disseminate this knowledge within the team.
- Assist your Senior Manager/Associate with client meetings, software selection, business advisory services, and strategic tax planning and structuring advice, as required.
Requirements
- CPA or CA qualification (essential).
- A minimum of 7 years of experience within Australian Public Practice.
- A results-driven approach, coupled with the technical proficiency to apply your knowledge effectively across a variety of client engagements.
- A commitment to continuous professional development, including the maintenance of required CPD hours and professional memberships.
